Hullo! We are back from Taiwan. Again, we have so much fun spending time with family and friends. Big and I couldn't be busier shopping together. Miu said that department stores are like flying traps to us sister;. two flies (big and I) never come back home empty hands... :D
Two and half weeks is a bit short for such a fun vacation. Only down side is that we miss our house and dukie so much. :( I have some pictures to show you in my private entry. Stay tune. :P

Taiwan experience #1 - Fake eye lashes.
Big couldn't wait to glue a pair of fake eye lashes on my eye lids right after I got home. She believes this magic pair of "small theater" (name of the eye lashes) is gonna make her sister become a super star. @_@

Friends Visit

My college friends came to visit us last weekend. I took them to musikfest. The weather was very HOT on Saturday but we had so much fun eating,drinking, walking... After we came back to the car, I saw something stuck on the windshield. It is YELLOW and it looks like a parking violation ticket! DAMN, I forgot to pay for the parking meter! Can you believe how stupid that is? Other than that, we had so much fun! My girl friends told me that they fell in love with this place and would like to come back to visit us again soon. :D

Last weekend, me and MYK had a early Birthday celebration at a French restaurant in Manhattan! The food was good, especially the dessert. I had too much fun that takes me 3 days from recovering... I know I am getting old! As you can see, Steven is the only man sitting at our table and he sure make us all look good. My MiuMiu could not make it because he had to work and on call that weekend. But I am looking forward to celebrate with my hubby on my real Birthday this weekend so that makes it up. The Birthday present from Cindy, Jeanie and Ronnie is a Prada bag. I really liked it and had to carry it with me that night.

Sunday, we went to Manayunk, a small town near Philly. We had lunch in a nice Greek restaurant and walked around the small town. While browsed around the small boutiques; I bought a pair of "J Brand" skinny jeans. I guess lunch made us lazy and sleepy so we decided not to stay for dinner and headed back home...zzz...

Jamie's bridal shower on last saturday was really fun... Not only did we sculpted the cucumbers (for detail, read simplysindy's entry); we also had a tissue paper wedding gown design competition. So I took my sister’s glitter eye shadow during her visit. That was when my glitter obsession began. I fell in love with all those shiny glitter eye shadow and liners!!! Can’t resist those shiny bits of colors!!!!

While I was walking Duke (my dog) in the park today -

I saw a group of big (gigantic) birds/ chickens?? next to the trail- looked like the picture below but a GROUP of them!!!!

I was so scared and imagined how they would attacked me and Duckie =0=... (Did I mentioned my worst fear of birds? All kinds of bird, chicken, turkey, dove...) I almost screamed and run but afraid that they would chased me behind! So I stopped and looked around, hoped someone would walked through... BUT NO... there were just me and my big fat dog in the trail! Since there were no other options, I decided to look straight, hold the leash tight and walked through (I could feel my heart pounded) "_" Thank god, the gigantic birds did not come close to me!
Anyway, it was what happened this morning. I will need to change the path tomorrow.

Yesterday was my buddy Jonas' birthday! Hana invited all their German friends (the German group) to their house. Falling out of love!

Life has been pretty hectic these days with my irritatingly beautiful sister and lush younger brother visiting! We were in New York City over the weekend, but it seemed, I have to say, to have lost its charm. The magnificent buildings, buzzing streets, gorgeous shops and mouth-watering food were still very much on offering. However, it is the ‘soul’ as one endlessly pursues that was missing. Was I just having unrealistic expectations? It used to be the city that never sleeps (well, at least I did not get much sleep), but it felt more potent than my Valium these days.

We checked into the W Hotel in the afternoon with great expectations (again!). Neatly dressed doorman (check), minimalist furniture (check), beautifully presented but slightly arrogant receptionists (check), some wanna-bes-but-never-been-there residents (check). All the ingredients of a chic business hotel in midtown one would expect were there, but one (or I) was in for a shock as one opened the door. I thought I have arrived at a refugee detention centre. One must realize land is precious in NYC, but I would refer you (especially the Management of W if there is one) to the Metropolitan Hotel in London or Bangkok.

Take home message: Select your hotel with prudence. A name can be, after all, just a name.

We also met up with the forever vivacious Cindy and her lovely husband at a Korean restaurant. I suppose the only consolation was that the Korean BBQ in NYC was still delicious as ever. The topics, of course, did not digress from diamonds, fashion, men/husbands, houses, cars/electronics and, funnily, a mystery guest. But Cindy had her new phone with her and let’s leave it like that. xx posh_miumiu
